Detailed Itinerary

Day 1    Drive to Rawalkot visit Banjosa lake and Toli peer

At early morning drive to Rawalakot,visit the beautiful banjosa lake.Banjosa Lake is an artificial lake and a tourist resort 20 kilometers (12 mi) from the city of Rawalakot in District Poonch of Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is located at an altitude of 1,981 meters (6,499 ft).

Day 2     Drive to Muzaffarabad visit Pir Chinasi

At early in the morning After having break fast we will drive to Muzaffarabad  and then visit Pir Chinasi. Pir Chinasi is a tourist spot located 30 kilometers (19 mi) east of Muzaffarabad city on the top of hills at an elevation of 2,900 metres(9,500 ft). The mountain peak has gained large fame for its ziyarat of a famous Saint Pir.

 

Day 3    Excursion to Shahdara

Full day Excursion to Sharda Sharda  (Also known as Shardi ) is a small town in Neelam District in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan. It is one of the two tehsils of Neelum district, and is reputed to be the most beautiful spot of the Neelum valley. It is located on the banks of the Neelum river at an altitude of 1981m, about 136 kilometers Northeast of Muzaffarabad.

The ruins of the famous temple and Hindu pilgrimage site Sharada Peeth, dedicated to the goddess Sharada who represents learning, is situated in this town. Other historical sites in the town include the Sharda fort, and Kishan Ghaati. Sharda and Nardi are two mountain peaks overlooking Sharda in the valley. It was a Buddhist and Hindu place of learning for centuries. The Sharada script was developed here in the 9th century.

Sharda is accessible by Neelam road from Muzaffarabad. Buses run daily between Muzaffarabad and Sharda in good weather.

Day 4    Drive to Naran via Gadi Habib

Naran is a medium sized town in upper Kaghan Valley in Mansehra District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of the Pakistan. It is located 119 kilometers (74 mi) from Mansehra city at the altitude of 8,202 feet (2,500 m).

Naran is one of the most scenic town in Pakistan, attracting thousands of tourists, trekkers, photographers and nature-enthusiast, every year. The Kunhar River, swollen by glacier melt, passes through this town as it meanders its way through the valley.

Naran can be considered as base station to scenic destinations like Lake Saif-ul-Malook, Lalazar Babusar, Noori Valley and Purbi Valley.

Day 5    Visit lake saif-ul-maluk

After breakfast we will visit saiful muluk lake.Saiful Muluk is a mountainous lake located at the northern end of the Kaghan Valley , near the town of Naran. It is in the north east of Mansehra District in the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. At an altitude of 3,224 m (10,578 feet) above sea level, it is well above the tree line, and is one of the highest altitude lakes in Pakistan.

Day 6    Excursion to Babusar pass

Babusar Pass or Babusar Top (el. 4173 m./13,691 ft.) is a mountain pass at the north of the 150 km. (93 miles) long Kaghan Valleyconnecting it via the Thak Nala with Chilas on the Karakoram Highway (KKH). It is the highest point in the Kaghan Valley that can be easily accessed by cars.

The Kaghan Valley is at its best during summer (months ranging from May to September). In May the maximum temperature is 11 C (52 F) and the minimum temperature is 3 C (37 F). From the middle of July up to the end of September the road beyond Naran is open right up to Babusar Pass. However, movement is restricted during the monsoon and winter seasons. The Kaghan area can be reached by road via the towns of Balakot, Abbottabad and Mansehra.

The mountain ranges which enter Mansehra district from Kashmir are the offshoots of the great Himalayan system. In Kaghan valley the mountain system is the highest of the area including the Babusar top. This range flanks the right bank of the Kunhar, contains a peak (Malika-e-Parbat) of over 17,000 feet (19), the highest in the district. On the mountains the grasslands are also found where Gujars and other nomads migrate during summer for grazing their sheep, goats and other animals. On the northern side there are mountains which are the extension of the same mountain system as that of Kaghan mountains. This range diverges from the eastern side at Musa-ka-Musalla a peak (13,378 feet) (20), which skirt the northern end of the Bhogarmang and Konsh valleys, and sends down a spur to divide the two. Here also, like Kaghan, thick forests are found especially on the higher slopes. Due to extensive exploitation only in unapproachable areas the thick forests are found.

Day 7    Drive to Shogran ,Siri paye

A Visit to Shogran and Siri paye will leave you enchanted by the spectacular beauty of its mountains, glaciers and lush greenery. It is one of the most scenic valleys in Pakistan looks like heaven on earth. It is famous for its natural beauty, peaceful environment ,amazing and beautiful landscape, lovely lakes and romantic weather.

Day 8    Drive Back to Islamabad

Drive back to islamabad via mansehra to islamabad and say Khuda hafiz to you and  dropped you to the railway station for your ongoing journey.
